Permanent role available in a highly secure environment for an Infrastructure Engineer
Permanent position for an Infrastructure Engineer. Opportunity to work on sensitive, mission-critical systems – DV clearance required. Based in Aldershot with regular on-site presence (~3 days per week).

ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re hiring a DV Cleared Infrastructure Engineer to support a secure customer environment. This is a hands-on role within a high-assurance setting, working directly with end users and internal teams to maintain and improve operational infrastructure.
You’ll be joining a collaborative, multidisciplinary team where problem-solving, resilience, and adaptability are key. This position is ideal for someone with a solid technical foundation who’s eager to work on complex challenges that truly make a difference.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting and evolving secure infrastructure platforms in line with user needs
- Building, configuring and maintaining environments using automation tools where possible
- Troubleshooting system and network issues, identifying root causes, and implementing robust fixes
- Collaborating with colleagues across multiple functions to deliver timely technical solutions
- Working iteratively to improve performance, availability, and reliability
What we’re looking for
- Active DV clearance (Developed Vetting) is essential
- Proficient in Linux systems administration (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu)
- Experience with virtualisation platforms, ideally VMware vSphere
- Exposure to infrastructure monitoring and vulnerability management tools (e.g., Zabbix, Tenable)
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash or Python
- Knowledge of automation and IaC tools like Ansible or Terraform is beneficial
- A team player who is confident working independently in secure environments
