PERMANENT ROLE AVAILABLE IN A HIGHLY SECURE ENVIRONMENT FOR AN INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER
Permanent position for an Infrastructure Engineer Opportunity to work on sensitive, mission-critical systems – DV clearance required £40,000 to £55,000 salary Based in Aldershot with regular on-site presence (~3 days per week) ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re hiring a DV Cleared Infrastructure Engineer to support a secure customer environment. This is a hands-on role within a high-assurance setting, working directly with end users and internal teams to maintain and improve operational infrastructure.
You’ll be joining a collaborative, multidisciplinary team where problem-solving, resilience, and adaptability are key. This position is ideal for someone with a solid technical foundation who’s eager to work on complex challenges that truly make a difference.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Supporting and evolving secure infrastructure platforms in line with user needs Building, configuring and maintaining environments using automation tools where possible Troubleshooting system and network issues, identifying root causes, and implementing robust fixes Collaborating with colleagues across multiple functions to deliver timely technical solutions Working iteratively to improve performance, availability, and reliability WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Active DV clearance (Developed Vetting) is essential Proficient in Linux systems administration (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu) Experience with virtualisation platforms, ideally VMware vSphere Exposure to infrastructure monitoring and vulnerability management tools (e.g., Zabbix, Tenable) Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash or Python Knowledge of automation and IaC tools like Ansible or Terraform is beneficial A team player who is confident working independently in secure environments HOW TO APPLY
