NEW VACANCY – Our client who is a global freight / logistics provider is looking for an EXPERIENCED road freight operations clerk to join their team on a senior level to assit with overseeing the team and supporting the manager.
Hours are Monday – Friday 9.00am – 18.00pm
Duties include:
– Overseeing freight operations team (road department)
– Processing EDI transfers, monitoring PODS
– Liaising with hauliers and booking road freight transport
– Ensuring shipments are collected at correct time and day and process clearances and prepare docs for custyoms clearance team.
– Data entry of shipments
– Customer services
Experience within road freight customer services / operations is essential for this role, you should have clear witten and verbal English skills and work well towars deadlines, you should have a flexible approach. Knowledge of UK / European road freight & groupage is required.
