Bloomberg Intelligence (“BI”) is looking for an equity analyst to cover the Latin American Consumer sector. BI conducts in-depth research on large and midsize companies to help stock and bond investors effectively evaluate them. We analyze the unique attributes of each business, how it competes against others in its industry and how business strategies impact financial results. Our analysts also consider the technology, regulations, and economies that shape the environment impacting these companies and the related industry impact.
BI research is a combination of written analysis supported by interactive charts and analytics created from company-reported, industry and government data. Analysts curate this data into comprehensive dashboards to support their own research and to provide Bloomberg Terminal users a platform to view and analyze the data as well. Our work gives trading and investment professionals\’ deep insight into where crucial industries stand today and where they may be heading next.

We\’ll trust you to:

Leverage your knowledge of the Consumer sector (both staples and discretionary) to actively create research on a regular basis.

Monitor and interpret major company developments and identify macro themes and trends affecting the industries.

Manage earnings cycle, including previews and reviews.

Work closely with our global team of Bloomberg Intelligence analysts and strategists located in New York, London, and Asia to coordinate and collaborate on analysis.

Interact with investors, industry and market professionals, investor relations personnel, and senior management at target companies.

Work with Global Data teams to ensure data completeness and quality control for existing and new data sets of target companies.

Develop and maintain relationships with internal departments and external market professionals.
You need to have:

Substantial experience in Equity Research, specializing in Consumer companies in Latin America.

Fluency in English, Portuguese and Spanish is required.

Detailed knowledge of the Consumer sector in Latin America.

Experience interpreting financial statements and performing quantitative financial analysis.

Knowledge of advanced concepts, practices, and procedures of finance and accounting.

Strong primary research and writing skills, with a focus on content in English.

Strong Excel and/or python programming skills.

Good oral communication and presentation skills.

Self-starter, independent thinker and collaborative team player.

Minimum of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; CFA designation and/or MBA or other graduate degree preferred.
