What is the opportunity?
An exciting opportunity to work within the London Product Control team to provide financial reporting and support for the Front Office desk (RMG) responsible to price and risk manage secondary derivative risks (XVA & MCAD) and associated funding on behalf of trading desks.
RBC’s expectation is that from mid-September 2025, all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.
What will you do?

Production of daily desk P&L & monthly reporting including commentaries.

Justification of P&L via daily risk-based decomposition, utilising the Greeks and new trade analysis.

Reconciliation of P&L to trader’s estimates.

Provide an effective link between Front Office (FO), & Financial Control, bringing specialist product knowledge into the arena, so that any disagreements in daily P&L are resolved on a timely basis & ultimate P&L agreement with FO is achieved, evidenced & logged.

Ensure integrity of the bank’s books & records via reconciliation and attestation.

Production of reporting as required by Front Office and other stakeholders including the Valuation Committee.

Involvement in key change management projects to deliver improvements to our daily processes.

Knowledge of interest rate derivative product and revaluation skills.

Strong ability to convert theory into practice and thrive in a complex area.

Competent accountancy skills; preferably fully qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent / similar.

Excellent numerical skills with the ability to problem solve in a logical manner.

Great communication skills and stakeholder management.

Strong knowledge of MS Excel and VBA.

Knowledge of derivative valuation adjustments particularly on CSA/MCAD discounting, CVA and FVA.
