Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the colposcopy service at The Northern Care Alliance, ensuring seamless and high-quality patient care
- Maintain adherence to national standards for patient safety and clinical practice, including preparing and reporting on national audits and reports
- Collaborate with the Clinical Lead Colposcopist and the wider team to support the development and delivery of the cervical screening service, aligning with NHS England Service specifications
- Oversee the effective and efficient operational management of the Colposcopy Service on a day-to-day basis, ensuring smooth service delivery
- Provide senior clinical leadership, expert advice, and ongoing support to the nursing team and the broader multi-professional team, facilitating the delivery of safe, compassionate, and effective care
- Demonstrate extensive theoretical and practical experience in clinical skills required to run independent nurse-led clinics
- Offer clinical and professional guidance at Directorate, Divisional, and Trust levels, supporting continuous improvement and excellence in service delivery
