ComplianceOfficer – Insurance
London (Hybrid)
£70,000 – £80,000 (Plus benefits & bonus)
The purpose of this position is to support theHead of Compliance & Risk in advising the business and delivering key legal and regulatory obligationswhileoperatingasthe SMCRSME and leadon projects to implement additional regulatory requirements.
Duties
- Work with the Head of Compliance& Risk to implement, embed and provide ongoing monitoring of regulatory developments.
- Help manage theSMCR Framework.
- Guide and assist the business in delivering the correct outcomes.
- Conduct horizon scanning.
- Draft and maintain policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities to collaborate withthe broader businesses.
- Deliver compliance training to the business.
- Complete allocated tasks outlined in the Annual Compliance Plan.
- Assist the team in managing the notification of data incidents and breaches.
Experience
- Experience working in an insurance intermediary or insurance company.
- In-depth understanding of the insurance market and placing process is necessary.
- In-depth understanding of the FCA handbook
- Experience with US surplus lines business is preferred but not essential;
- Maintaining a positive attitude and self-motivated, with excellent organisational skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft products.
