We are excited to offer an opportunity for a commercially astute Portfolio Manager to join our Food For Later division.
As Portfolio Manager, you will curate a product range that aligns with Greencore\’s key performance indicators, excellence programmes, and customer NPD and EPD plans.
Key Accountabilities:
- Respond to customer briefs and market insights to prioritize the product range.
- Prepare all Project Master Documents for Greencore-led projects and support customer teams in preparing documents for customer-led projects.
- Prepare and represent documentation and pre-work for weekly ITP and monthly IBP meetings to ensure accurate portfolio decisions.
- Apply stage-gate process timelines and measures rigorously to ensure project milestones are met, risks are escalated, and KPIs are delivered.
- Monitor products that are exceptions to timeframes or KPIs, ensuring redesigns or pricing changes are implemented.
- Coordinate with the Portfolio Analyst to conduct post-launch reviews, validate KPIs, and capture lessons learned, ranking products into bronze, silver, and gold categories.
- Regularly review product performance and collaborate with the Rev Management team and Qlik to phase out or modify unproductive or margin-dilutive products.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong commercial acumen
- Highly numerate with experience in data-driven environments
- Experience in building product portfolios as a customer or supplier
- Deep understanding of manufacturing capabilities, food development, and commercial priorities
- Proficiency in category management principles and strategies
- Significant experience in a commercial role, preferably within FMCG
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Resilience and ability to make tough prioritization decisions
