Our client is a highly reputable law firm committed to delivering exceptional legal services. With a strong emphasis on client satisfaction and a history of successful outcomes, our client is seeking a skilled Law Costs Draftsperson to join their dynamic team. Responsibilities: Establish, maintain, and keep up to date costs billing schedules. Establish and manage the process and procedures for regular billing of Legal Aid funded matters. Supervise and develop more junior members of the costs team. Managing and setting up processes for regular billing Triggers for when certificates been issued. Final check with fee earner. Final hearing trigger. Work effectively on the Client and Cost Management System, Legal Aid Agency Online and E forms to produce bills and facilitate support to fee earners also on these systems. Support any appealed bills to the Legal Aid Agency or other relevant bodies should costs be disputed. Ensure that payments are allocated to the correct file/matter when funds are received. Ensure that bills are submitted and have been received by the relevant authority, files are satisfactorily finished, disbursements paid, and files closed. Work with the Accounts and Finance team to produce various reports and Management Information relating to costs. Allocation of payments Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 depending on experience + Excellent Benefits
