Senior OHL Engineer

Our client, a leading company in the energy sector, is currently seeking a Senior OHL Design Engineer to join their growing team in either of the following locations: Driffield, Hessle, Tadcaster, Derby, Belfast, and Whyteleafe. This is a permanent position for an experienced engineer to develop and deliver engineering solutions for Electricity Transmission and Distribution Projects (33 kV and above). Key Responsibilities: Design and specify steel overhead line structures and overhead line design systems. Manage projects to ensure timely achievement of deliverables, including financial management and site meetings. Oversee Health and Safety and CDM issues on projects, ensuring compliance with legislation. Provide technical expertise, review and develop company systems, and deliver technical training including mentoring Junior Engineers. Monitor and manage all design activities, verify work, and ensure compliance with Quality Procedures. Provide site supervision and verify proposed work procedures, designs, drawings, and method statements. Guide and train design teams, offering mentoring as appropriate. Job Requirements: Experience in TP141 OHL Design, Multi-Utility Design, Electrical Distribution Systems, Cabling Design, and Transmission. Proficient in industry software such as PLS CADD, PLS Tower (Power Line Systems), SAPS, or equivalent packages.
