We\’re looking for an experienced, forward–thinking Fire Safety Manager to champion the development and delivery of a robust fire safety framework across complex operational sites. You\’ll play a vital role in minimising fire risk, enhancing resilience, and cultivating a proactive safety culture. This is a newly created position, with plenty of scope to make an impact and leave a lasting legacy on the organisation.

What you\’ll be doing:

  • Deliver a fire safety strategy aligned with zero–harm values and the wider HSW vision.
  • Ensure compliance with UK fire safety legislation and industry standards.
  • Embed a comprehensive Fire Safety Management System and lead site audits and assurance.
  • Collaborate cross–functionally with stakeholders to integrate fire safety from design through operation.
  • Working in close collaboration with the Fire Safety Advisor.

What you should bring:

  • Essential: Diploma/ degree level qualification in Fire Safety/ Fire Engineering or Fire Science; fire risk management experience in complex, multi–site environments; sound knowledge of UK fire regulations.
  • Desired: Chartered membership (e.g., IOSH, IFE); experience with COMAH/high–hazard sites; HOP certification or strong familiarity.
  • Clear communication, leadership, and the ability to drive continuous improvement.
