Job Description Summary
The GEnx Strategic Propulsion Engineer (SPPE) is a member of the Customer Technical Programs (CTP) team in Caledonian shop. This role is tasked with developing strategic workscopes optimized for CSA contract CTQ\’s as well as identifying and executing CSA cost opportunities including escalation mitigations, MRB dispositions, and shop costs. This role also supports strategic workscoping for T&M contracts. GEnx is a high-volume program, ripe with opportunity that will offer growth in leadership, shop experience, customer exposure, and engineering services technologies.

The CTP services powerplant engineer participates in nonconformance disposition, NPI tooling and repair, leading indicator accountability, workscope escalation mitigation, shop specific cost oversight, productivity project support, MRO technology deployment support, including repairs
Roles and Responsibilities
- Execute and provide guidance for the analysis / evaluation of assigned projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product / program requirements
- Lead business initiatives in design, materials, manufacturing, quality and/or productivity
- Define and develop product processes related to design, analysis, test, materials, manufacture, quality and/or productivity
- Identify need for technical and program reviews within the organization
- Lead technical reviews and participate as a reviewer
- Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments as appropriate
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
- Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical and program requirements, schedules and contract commitments
- Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems
Required Qualifications
- This role requires advanced experience in the Engineering/Technology & Fleet Management. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor\’s degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
