Job description

The company is part of a global group. Due to the continued growth & expansion of the business internationally we are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer.
to join our team leading various projects and working with Senior Engineers on Turnkey Solutions.

This exciting role is pivotal as we continue our journey of delivering engineering excellence and innovation in solving our clients\’ complex requirements, enhancing the company\’s reputation as a leading supplier in our market sectors.
Ultimately, you will work closely with different internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are completed according to schedule and budget.

Responsibilities

Engineering on turnkey projects, able to adhere to workload schedules with an understanding of cost management.
Use CALIACH (ERP) to build BOM\’s & release Work Orders from CAD/ePlan Drawings.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally within the business and with clients.
Adhere to internal quality and reporting procedures.
Support other departments, Project Managers, Shop floor, Purchasing etc.
Creation of design concepts and schematics based on customer RFQ\’s guided by Senior Engineers/ Management.
Support with the completion of Technical Files (CE Marking) and Manuals.
Support Senior Engineers & Managers with timing focusing on delivering commitments.

Requirements and skills

Proven experience in Test Cell Engineering or R&D facilities (1 year minimum).
Proficiency in ePlan or Autocad CAD Software.
Degree qualification or equivalent experience in a electrical technical discipline.
Analytical skills for evaluating information carefully and solving problems.
A basic understanding of test cell systems, motors, drives, PLC systems and power distribution.
Detail–oriented.
Organizational skills for keeping track of workload and individual priorities.
An understanding of value engineering.
UK or overseas trips to clients (Supervised).
A basic understanding of BS 13849, 7671 & 60204.
Must have a good understanding of electrical engineering principles.
