Part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult, NCC is a hive of innovation for industry addressing some of the world’s most complex engineering challenges. You will join this dynamic organisation as it embarks on implementing its 5-year strategy, one that is growth and impact focused.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll join our Engineering Development group working to deliver offline NC programming support and technical direction on exciting projects across a range of industries. You\’ll support the development of novel technology processes and create demonstrators of the NCC’s manufacturing capability in line with customer needs.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in programming AFP/ATL systems for composite part production
  • Proficiency with CAM and simulation software, Ideally CATIA (V5/V6), CADFiber, CATFiber, and/or Vericut Composites.
  • Solid understanding of composite materials, fibre paths, plybooks, and defect control
  • Knowledge of manufacturing constraints and best practices for automated layup
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach and a drive to solve complex engineering challenges
