Are you an experienced Design Engineer looking for a new role in Portsmouth. CSM2, a specialist equipment manufacturer supplying maritime atmosphere control systems and support services has an exciting opportunity to join their Mechanical Design team. Responsible for the design, draughting and final production of engineering drawings in accordance with BS 8888 using CAD software. Taking basic project ideas and producing detailed designs for equipment, framework and enclosures. All drawings to be produced to a high standard of accuracy and clarity. Key responsibilities and tasks: Responsible for concept and detailed design of engineering solutions, leading to the creation of manufacturing drawings required for product implementation Maintain liaison with design and technical authority and project engineers throughout the term of projects Ensure Company technical requirements and relevant professional standards and codes of practice are maintained and adhered to Promote the use of Computer Aided Design (CAD) techniques to the Design Office activities as applicable Ensure all departmental and Company procedures are upheld Create, review and receive new draft of Company specifications, standards and procedures from the various departments.
