Overview
Project Manager – Farnborough hybrid (3 days onsite) – £70,000-75,000 base plus benefits
This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and be eligible for UK Security Vetting at DV level. Clearance sponsorship will be provided where required. Due to the nature of the work, candidates should meet the relevant residency requirements. If applicable, reserved post nationality restrictions will be confirmed by the client. About the job
Our client has an opportunity for a Project Manager to join their team and play a vital role in shaping some of their exciting projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and business resources to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Project management- The ability to manage all aspects of project delivery, including forecasting, change management and risk management.
- Oversee deliverables from cross-functional teams, vendors, and business resources.
- Foster open communication across teams to identify cross-team development dependencies and risks early on.
- Work with project accountants to manage project finances
- Experience of working in a project delivery environment with a sound understanding of structured and agile methodologies and applying them in separate situations (e.g. APMP, MSP, Jira, Tempo, Scrum).
- Problem solving- The ability to identify problems collaboratively and develop actions/solutions, communicating both to key stakeholders and presenting information through reports, dashboards and slides as appropriate.
Skills
- Experience in working with multiple project management methodologies.
- Knowledge of structured cabling systems (Cat 5e, Cat 6, fibre optic) and associated containment methods.
- Experience in managing low voltage infrastructure projects (data, voice, video, wifi)
- Familiarity/experience in delivery of network rooms/comms rooms/data centers.
- Market experience working within the UK Defence & Security sector is advantageous.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related fields preferred or equivalent experience.
- Strong project management, risk management, and procurement management skills.
- Familiarity with the Agile, Waterfall and Shape Up profiles and methodologies.
