About the Role
This isn\’t your typical HR job. You\’ll be stepping into a high-energy, purpose-led business where collaboration, creativity, and culture are at the heart of everything. Reporting into the Chief of Staff (with a dotted line to the CEO), you\’ll help shape a people strategy that genuinely works – for everyone from studio teams to senior leaders.
You\’ll be just as comfortable advising SLT on business-critical people topics as you are rolling up your sleeves to update policies or support a new starter. If you\’re commercially sharp, thrive in a fast-moving environment, and love building great culture – you\’ll feel right at home. Bonus points if you\’re passionate about health and fitness, too.
You\’ll also have part-time support from a fab HR Assistant – but this role needs someone who\’s confident working autonomously and ready to lead the HR function end to end.
What You\’ll Be Doing
- Leading the HR function – balancing day-to-day support with strategic thinking that drives real business value
- Designing and delivering people initiatives that improve engagement, retention and culture
- Acting as a trusted advisor to leaders – providing insight, challenge and support on performance, planning and people strategy
- Managing the full employee lifecycle – from recruitment and onboarding to ER, development and offboarding
- Coaching managers to grow their leadership confidence and people skills
- Owning and evolving policies and processes – keeping them clear, compliant and genuinely useful
- Using people data and feedback to spot trends, make smart decisions, and continuously improve
What You\’ll Need
- Senior HR experience in a fast-paced, people-focused environment like hospitality, fitness, retail, or similar
- Experience and understanding of the dynamics of working in a multi-site and multi-disciplinary team
- Strong organisational skills – able to manage operations and long-term projects simultaneously
- Proven success in recruitment and talent management, with a commercial, people-first approach
- Comfortable switching between strategic planning and hands-on delivery
- Excellent communicator across all levels – confident, clear, and adaptable
- Strong leadership and influencing skills – practical, people-focused and trusted
- Confident working independently and presenting to senior leadership
- Commercial awareness – understands how HR impacts performance and growth
- CIPD Level 5 (Level 7 is a plus)
This is the perfect role for someone who\’s ready to step up, step in, and drive real change in a values-led, people-powered business that cares deeply about wellbeing – for both clients and colleagues.
