Arboriculture Ground Operative
Location: St Helens
Salary: 13.00-13.50 per hour
Contract type: Permanent, Full time
Working hours: Mon-Fri 7:30am to 4:00pm
About the role
At idverde, we provide a range of Arboricultural Operations including tree removals, crown thinning/reductions/lifting, deadwooding and tree planting, as well as ongoing tree maintenance. We are now looking for a talented and experienced Arborist Ground Operative to join our team in St Helens. Your main duties will include tree felling, pruning, stump grinding and more.

You will need to have a keen focus on safe working practice, care and maintenance of arboricultural plants, vehicles and equipment and a passion for high quality tree care, with a can-do attitude.
Requirements
  • Previous experience of working in an Arborist team.
  • Excellent understanding of arboriculture and the ability to undertake operations safely and competently.
  • Recognised industry qualifications: CS30 / NPTC Unit 201 (City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate of Competence in Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross-cutting), CS31 / NPTC Unit 202 (City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate of Competence in Felling Small Trees up to 380mm) and CS32 / NPTC Unit 304 (Competence in Felling, Assisted Felling and Processing Medium Trees). Anything above CS32 would be an advantage to have.
  • Woodchipper and Pole Saw / Pruner training would also be beneficial.
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Eye for detail and willingness to learn.
