Procurement Manager
We are seeking a Procurement Manager to join a transportation organisation in the heart of London. The successful candidate will be part of a wider team responsible for providing professional support, managing risks associated with C&P activities, and implementing robust financial and operational controls within an ethical environment. The role involves managing reputational and regulatory risks and ensuring ongoing competitiveness through innovative terms and adaptive processes.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Plan, manage, and deliver competitive tenders of medium values, and on occasion, simple high-value tenders in compliance with the Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016.
- Support Senior Procurement Managers in planning, managing, and delivering the creation of compliant frameworks/DPSs.
- Assist the business with contractual and procurement activities such as reviewing and approving Contracts, Statements of Work (SOW), Variations, Extensions, Change Notices, etc.
- Lead or assist in procurement and contract negotiations to ensure procurement on appropriate, competitive terms.
- Provide support to Senior Procurement Managers for effective Contract & Procurement management.
- Advise contract sponsors, project managers, or operational staff on contracting and procurement practices.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of Indirect Procurement experience.
- Knowledge of English Contract Law and UK/EU/Government procurement regulation.
- Credibility with the Executive, senior stakeholders, and key suppliers.
- Experience in managing and delivering new contracts and renewals.
- Ability to deliver strategic projects.
- Develop and execute category strategies for sub-categories.
