About The Position
QA is essential in ensuring our products are delivered with high quality, on schedule, and aligned with customer expectations. In this role, you will be a strong advocate for quality, making sure our standards, procedures, and specifications are clearly understood and consistently followed. You\’ll also play a key role in championing QA policies within the team, working closely with Engineers, POs, automation engineers and other QAs to deliver high quality products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring all development tasks meet quality criteria through test planning, test execution, quality assurance, and issue tracking.
- Collaborate with the team to continuously improve our testing processes and quality standards.
- Able to analyse and assess risk of test coverage for various areas of the product, ensuring critical paths are well tested.
- Play an active part in contributing to and maintaining the overall CI/CD pipeline, ensuring smooth and automated deployments.
- Proficient in time management, capable of prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
- Able to communicate issues clearly and explain impact on the product to the wider team, including developers, product owners, stakeholders and Quality Leads.
- Promote a \”Shift Left\” mentality by actively engaging in early QA preparation and execution, contributing to refinement sessions and sprint planning.
- Understanding of the role of a QA in an Agile environment, with a strong focus on collaboration, adaptability, and iterative development.
- Continuously learn and apply the best technologies to simulate relevant test types, including UI, API and performance.
- Advocate for test automation and help identify opportunities to increase test coverage while educating teams on the importance of automation.
- Actively participate in root cause analysis (RCA) of defects to identify patterns and improve future quality outcomes.
- Ensure test environments are well-maintained, and data integrity is preserved for reliable testing results.
Essential Skills:
- Strong skills in documenting test coverage and results in a clear and structured format.
- Passionate about quality and not afraid to voice opinions to advocate for best practices.
- Strong working knowledge and understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC), including how QA integrates into each phase.
- Self-motivation and drive to continuously improve quality processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present quality insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Ability to understand front-end users\’ requirements and exhibit a problem-solving attitude.
- Experience working with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, etc.).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and concepts to ensure seamless integration of automated tests.
- Understanding of API testing and experience using tools such as Postman or similar.
- Experience in testing mobile applications across various platforms (iOS and Android), with a strong understanding of mobile-specific testing strategies, including UI/UX validation, performance testing, and device compatibility.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
- Understanding of cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their impact on testing strategies.
- ISTQB or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Experience with all types of functional and non-functional testing, including performance, security, and usability testing.
