Are you ready to take on a dynamic role where you can make a meaningful impact on the delivery of educational programmes? We're seeking a knowledgeable Electrical Assistant to work closely with our Engineering department supporting the Course Director in the delivery of practical training. Our client is located in Basingstoke and offering a salary up to 28k, 25 days holiday, retail benefit scheme, staff well-being day and access to an onsite gym and a coffee shop! As the Electrical Assistant you will benefit from: • Salary offering between 26 – 28k • 8.30am-5pm, Monday to Friday (1 hour for lunch) • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (plus Christmas closure) • Retail Benefits scheme • Free onsite parking • Additional benefits: access to refectory/coffee shop, gym • Staff well-being day • Working with a friendly team As the Electrical Assistant: Your primary role will oversee the storage, maintenance, and stock control of tools, materials, and equipment. Supporting teaching staff, you will prepare and demonstrate the use of materials, equipment, and tooling, maintain workshop facilities to industry standards, and assist with training programs. Additionally, you will manage inventory systems, contribute to workshops, and liaise with external parties while maintaining up-to-date technical skills. The person we are looking for will have: • Expertise in electronics and wiring • A meticulous approach to maintaining tools, materials, and equipment to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in health and safety compliance, stock control, and training others. • Strong communication skills • A collaborative team player, they will also be capable of independently managing tasks and contributing to workshops and departmental initiatives. • Happy to have a DBS check if successful HOW TO APPLY?
