About The Role

We are currently looking for a Patent Searcher/IP Analyst to join the Intellectual Property (IP) Department. Whilst the role would be based in Malmesbury significant interaction with our engineers and patent attorneys in the UK and SEA is expected. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who already has patent searching experience.

As a Patent Searcher/IP Analyst you will be carrying out a mixture of patentability, clearance and invalidity searches, as well as analysis and monitoring of IP in areas of interest to the business.

About You

  • Degree, equivalent or higher in a scientific or engineering discipline. Physics or electronics would be advantageous.
  • Experience in patent searching and/or patent analytics.
  • QPIP (Qualified Patent Information Professional) would be beneficial but not essential.
  • The ability to quickly learn and understand new concepts
  • A curious and analytical mindset.
  • Excellent literacy and communication skills.
  • The ability to assimilate technical information, translate it into patent search strategies, and assess patent documents at pace in order to locate the relevant information.
