About The RoleThe Telecoms Division at MGroup Services is seeking dedicated and skilled Fibre Engineers (FTTP) to join our team in West Downs. As a Fibre Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, testing, and maintenance of Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) networks. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on exciting projects, delivering critical infrastructure that enables fast and reliable broadband to homes and businesses. Key Responsibilities: Install, test, and maintain Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) networks. Splice fibre cables, ensuring high-quality connectivity. Conduct fault-finding and diagnostics on fibre networks. Work collaboratively with other engineers, supervisors, and coordinators to complete tasks efficiently and safely. Maintain all required documentation, including job packs and as-built drawings. Adhere to health and safety standards, ensuring a safe working environment. Perform civil work tasks, such as working in confined spaces and at heights when required. Requirements: Proven experience in Fibre Engineering, ideally in FTTP network installations. A valid clean UK driving license (no more than 6 points, with no disqualifications required for fleet van insurance) Ability to interpret utility maps and diagrams. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong understanding of fibre optic networks and splicing techniques. Physically fit, as the role involves manual labour, including lifting, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings when necessary. Qualifications: Relevant certifications in fibre optics or telecommunications (desirable but not essential). NRSWA (New Roads and Street Works Act) certification (advantageous). Confined space training and first aid certification are beneficial. About The Company Why choose us?
