Senior Maintenance Manager
Full time, 37 hours per week
£40,497 to £45,413 per annum
The University of Winchester is looking for an approachable, experienced and competent Senior Maintenance Manager.
The Senior Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the delivery of a professional, effective, customer focused and safe maintenance service across the University Estate. The role holder will continue to develop and improve reactive and proactive programmes of maintenance activities ensuring records of all activities are scheduled using the Service Desk System.
The role holder will manage the in-house team which comprises of the Maintenance Manager (Contracts), 1 Lead Electrician, 3 Electricians, 1 lead Gas Engineer, 3 Gas Engineers, 1 Carpenter, 1 Decorator and a Multi-Skilled Worker and any casual staff as required.
The role holder should be competent in the use of IT systems, have excellent mechanical and electrical knowledge and should be experienced in the management and implementation of safe systems of work. Experience of managing, tendering service contracts and low carbon maintenance programmes and energy efficiency is also essential.
*Occasional evening and weekend working will be required to support important University events. The Maintenance Department supports flexible working and TOIL due to the busy nature of the role. Occasional working from home will be permitted in line with the University Policy.
