We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer (Projects) to join our engineering team at Perenco Wytch Farm, Dorset. This is an integral role in which you will lead on the electrical discipline scoping and execution of CAPEX and OPEX modifications for the Wytch Farm asset.
This position also acts as a back-up to the Senior Site Electrical Support Engineer for ensuring the technical integrity of the Electrical discipline and/or operational activities on site, and ensuring that all company and regulatory codes, standards and good engineering practices are applied in a safe and consistent manner.
This is an exciting opportunity for dynamic individual to lead the Electrical section of the engineering team located at Wytch Farm. Reporting directly to our Engineering Manager, you will collaborate with a highly skilled team committed to safety, innovative technical solutions and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Some of the more specific tasks required of the role include (non-exclusively):
• Project Manage key Electrical bias CAPEX and OPEX projects as determined by annual plan.
• Provide Electrical Engineering input/support to CAPEX/OPEX projects managed by others.
• Perform Standard electrical engineering calcs and checks.
• Participate in HAZOP and LOPA studies on behalf of electrical discipline.
• Ensure relevant ETPs and SMS documents associated with the Discipline are adhered to – in own work and that of others within the discipline (supporting the Senior Electrical Support Engineer in this regard).
• Perform Management of Change (MOC) peer reviews and contribute electrical engineering input to MOC risk assessments.
• Take lead on incident investigations where requested and proactively ensure that the root cause of the incident is understood and actions raised to address.
• Line Manage any Graduate engineers progressing through the Perenco UK Graduate Development Programme.
• Support where required ISO14001 Audit compliance.
• Support where required ISO45001 Audit compliance.
• Depending on experience, support the Senior Site Electrical Support Engineer in the following (non-exclusive) activities:
o Provide back-up support to assure execution of maintenance strategies on site.
o Act as Electrical discipline lead for the site in Senior Site Electrical Support Engineer’s absence, providing guidance to junior engineers and back up support to Operations.
o Support the expectations of the electrical discipline, ensuring processes and systems in place to keep the discipline in good health are maintained and up to standard.
o Support ATEX compliance management.
o Approve updates to electrical engineering drawings
o Act as electrical discipline approver for relevant Operational Risk Assessments
o Support relevant Regulatory discussions
o Support provision of a link between Wytch Farm and the SNS technical authority for the electrical discipline.
o Support management of high value critical spares.
o Support development of a refreshed maintenance and reliability strategy for WYF within discipline – constantly updating this in the light of continuous improvement.
o Support maintenance of Site Technical Practices where appropriate ETPs or SMS documents do not exist.

Qualifications & Experience Required:
• BEng – Electrical or appropriate Engineering Discipline.
• Chartered Engineer (or equivalent) with extensive knowledge of project/modification execution and plant operations.
• Strong awareness of electrical discipline industry standards and the ability to apply them in practice.
• Proven track record of working with HV networks with a good knowledge of HV network fault levels and load flow
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to influence business priorities and provide direction to the development of business options.
• Self-motivating with the commitment to work consistently to the highest standards.

• Provide innovative and creative solutions to challenges.
