Talent Manager – Forge Talent, Relationships Not Transactions

Forge Talent are exclusive partnered with a global retail business who are recruiting for a Credit Manager on a 12 month fixed term contract with potential longer terms prospects. This is an office based position.

This role will give applicants the chance to work within a strategic leadership role within the credit operations function, driving efficient payment collection and minimising overdue receivables across a diverse B2B customer base.

Core Duties:

• Lead day-to-day credit control activities to ensure timely cash inflow and effective account receivables management.
• Supervise the full billing cycle, maintaining alignment with contractual terms and service-level obligations to guarantee invoice accuracy.
• Mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing credit control team, cultivating a culture of accountability and client-focused service.
• Define and manage credit boundaries for customers, applying risk mitigation strategies in accordance with internal credit governance.
• Support robust onboarding and credit evaluation procedures to uphold high standards in customer vetting and approval.
• Monitor and report on operational KPIs including receivables data integrity, collection performance, and team productivity benchmarks.
• Provide detailed financial insight and commentary to leadership on aging reports, collection trends, and credit risk exposure.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, technology, and operations teams to ensure credit functions align with business growth strategies.
• Support the development and continuous improvement of financial systems to ensure they meet evolving operational and reporting needs.
