Hays recruitment are looking for OSGs to join a public sector organisation in the DE65 area. Your new roleIn your new role, you will be working alongside the operational security team. You will have many different responsibilities, which include escorting contractors as they carry out maintenance work around the prison, visitor and toolkit checks, main gate duties and vehicle searches. You will also ensure the safety of visitors when assisting them around the site, while making sure no unauthorised items enter the Prison. Shift pattern: Monday – Thursday , 8am – 5pm and Friday 8am -5pm (1-hour lunch break). 39 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime. It is a long-term temporary contract on an ongoing basis. What you\’ll need to succeed Your new role does not require any experience as full training is provided. However, a military or security background would be beneficial. You will need to have strong communication skills, be security conscious, and practical. In order to be successful, you\’ll also need to pass a security clearance procedure due to the nature of the role and provide references to cover the last 3 years of employment and character references to cover any gaps in employment.
