Our client is a very recognisable name in the Private Equity sector, a global business. Due to continued growth, a new role has been created to join the management (corporate) accounting team in a broad ranging position. They are seeking a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA). Ideally you will have Group accounting experience gained from a Private Equity business or another part of the Private Markets sector.
The Role
- Assist with co-ordination, preparation and review of the quarterly consolidated management reporting pack, including KPIs, financial analysis and commentary.
- Assist with the preparation of annual consolidated budgets and strategic forecasts in accordance with group assumptions, providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and commentaries.
- Business partner for several global cost centres. This involves co-ordination, preparation and presentation of quarterly consolidated profit and loss accounts, commentaries in respect of material variances and providing supplementary information at senior management meetings.
- Assist the Financial Controller with year-end close and consolidation processes, including audit planning, timely preparation of group consolidation, technical papers and support on the production of the annual statutory accounts.
- Support the overseas subsidiaries year-end accounts process and review their financial statements to ensure adherence to group accounting policies and compliance with statutory reporting requirements.
- Responsible for timely and accurate preparation of various regulatory returns for submission to the FCA
- Assist in identifying and quantifying the impact of financial reporting standard changes on single entity and group statutory accounts.
- Assist in the development of system and process enhancements, including the automation of business processes and development of enhanced business analytics.
- Establish and maintain effective governance and financial control processes including documenting and maintaining appropriate finance policies and procedures.
- Ad hoc assistance / support to wider finance teams, including overseas outsourced service providers as and when required.
Requirements
- You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Several years of post-qualified working within the Finance function of a similar business, either in Private Equity or in other parts of the investment management sector
- Have good technical skills and be highly competent on Excel
- Have excellent inter-personal skills
- You will need to be based in the UK. This role will not be offering sponsorship opportunities
