Maintenance Engineer Below covers everything you need to know about what this opportunity entails, as well as what is expected from applicants. – Toome – x2 Positions Available – Salary up to £44000 Your New Company Our client has multiple sites throughout the UK and is a professional, leading-edge company, providing innovative, economical and environmentally sound solutions to customers for the treatment and disposal of a diverse range of waste. Your new role Reporting to the Engineering Manager/ Plant Manager, this is a role which undertakes a variety of activities on the Toome site with the main focus on safety, planned and reactive maintenance along with project work. You should always obey the appropriate health and safety at work requirements as per policies, procedures, method statements, site, role, and customer specifications. Additionally, you should actively seek to improve the safety culture (don\’t walk by) and report any H&S issues/accidents/near misses to your line manager immediately. You should always wear the necessary PPE/uniform which will be supplied to you. You are responsible for all company equipment and you should always abide by the rules associated with this including the pre-use checks and obeying all applicable legislation and company rules. Whilst on shift your core duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Working to a planned maintenance schedule Use initiative to solve problems Fabricate and weld through different maintenance activities React quickly and efficiently to get plants running again and engage with management for recommendations to improve availability. Whilst the hours are typically across Monday – Friday, there are some occasions when it will be necessary to work outside these times and a flexible approach is needed. What You\’ll Need To Succeed The ideal candidate will be/have: Time served with a strong mechanical heavy engineering background Have a current forklift licence Have experience of working at height Manual handling trained Can Mig and Stick weld Electrically competent. What You\’ll Get In Return x2 positions are currently available within the maintenance team – Working an evening shift of 13:00 – 22:00 will attract a salary of £38000. There may be some scope to revise the hours to 11:00 – 20:00. A permanent night shift position also exists which requires 4 shifts of 19:00 – 07:00 per week. This role will attract a salary of up to £44000. The salary figures quoted are DoE and interview performance.
