Job Description

Our client, a bank based in Central London, is seeking a Database Engineer experienced with MS SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience working with MS SQL Server and SSIS, which is crucial for this role.

The responsibilities include developing and delivering new systems to automate and streamline processes across departments, supporting IT with software upgrades, and being the primary contact for technical questions related to in-house systems.

Database Support

• Support budgeting and financial planning processes, including data loading and refreshing.
• Manage hierarchical structures within the environment.
• Debug and analyze errors within the Hyperion system, coordinating with Finance.
• Create data flows within SQL using SSIS packages.

Risk & Regulatory Duties

• Maintain knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and adhere to policies.
• Report breaches and potential non-compliance issues promptly.
• Execute controls to minimize risks and escalate issues as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree or equivalent qualification.
• Proficiency in SQL programming.

Knowledge & Skills

• Software analysis and design.
• SQL query language with SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.
• Data warehouse design concepts (Inmon or Kimball).
• Experience with building data warehouses and reporting using SSRS.
