John Sisk & Son has an opportunity for a Design Manager or a seasoned Design Manager ready to progress towards a Senior Design Manager, to join a growing team within the Life Science & Technology sector.

As a Design Manager, you will lead the delivery of effective design across multiple projects or a large-scale project. Your responsibilities include overseeing pre-construction and construction design processes, liaising with clients, vendors, the design team, and other stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards. This role is client-facing and requires extensive stakeholder engagement.

Travel within the regional geographic locations and work across various sites, offices, and client locations will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead design delivery and manage design teams.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project success.
• Ensure design compliance with regulations and standards.
• Identify and resolve technical and design issues.
• Promote innovation and continuous improvement in design processes.
• Mentor junior team members.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 10 years of experience in design management.
• Strong understanding of life science technologies, procurement routes, and contractual administration.
• Design bias towards architectural or engineering disciplines with a good understanding of the other.
• Construction or engineering degree/diploma.
