Job Title: SEND HLTA – Small Class, Big Energy Class size: 10. Personality: Massive. Aged 8 to 10, our pupils bring spark, challenge, and lots of love (eventually). It’s a setting that demands consistency, humour, and a bit of good old-fashioned grit. Sound like your kind of place? You’ll be part of a close-knit trio: 1 class teacher 1 LSA (ready for anything) And you – our superstar HLTA When the teacher’s out (PPA or absence), you’ll take the reins and lead the class, supported by your trusty LSA partner. What we’re looking for: You’ve got SEND experience (or maybe you’ve tamed a wild mainstream class or two). You’re the type who: Turns up early, coffee in hand, ready to roll Doesn’t flinch when a lesson goes sideways Has a ‘firm but fair’ approach with clear boundaries Can roll with last-minute changes (flexibility is your middle name) Stays cool in chaos and consistent with every child Cracks a joke even when it’s been a day Bonus points if you love the great outdoors—we’re big on Forest School vibes. What you’ll need: Experience supporting or leading in a SEND or SEMH setting Confidence to lead the class when needed A big heart and a thick skin (in equal measure) Sense of humour firmly intact Why join us?
