Operations Manager (Food Retail)

We are currently recruiting for an operations manager to lead the performance, growth, and operational excellence of our Greggs stores across the North of England and Scotland. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced multi-site manager with a passion for fast-paced retail, strong commercial focus, and hands-on leadership. About the role As operations manager, you will oversee a portfolio of Greggs locations, including standalone stores and forecourt partnership sites. You will be responsible for ensuring every store delivers exceptional customer experiences, meets financial targets, and upholds brand and food safety standards. You will work closely with area managers and store teams to drive performance, support store openings and refurbishments, and ensure consistency across all sites. Key responsibilities * Lead, coach and develop a team of area managers and site operators across multiple locations * Ensure consistent operational excellence and full compliance with food safety and brand standards * Drive sales, profitability and customer satisfaction across the region * Monitor KPIs and take action to improve performance * Support new store openings, refits and refurbishments * Collaborate with central teams on financial performance and store development What we’re looking for * Proven experience in regional or multi-site management within retail or hospitality (ideally QSR or food-to-go) * Strong leadership and people development skills * Commercially minded, with a hands-on, data-driven approach * Minimum Level 3 Food Hygiene * At least 2 years in a QSR managerial role * Passion for delivering high standards and excellent customer service * Flexible and resilient, with the ability to travel regularly across the region * Full UK driving licence What you’ll get * Competitive salary * Company car allowance * Discretionary performance-related bonus * Enhanced company pension * Private medical cover (with the option to add family) * Life insurance * Online discounts and cashback platform * Employee Assistance Programme * Opportunities for progression within a growing retail business * A supportive team and the chance to make a real impact Please apply now
