Design Engineer

White Label is working with an engineering and manufacturing business in the Dewsbury area that require a Design Engineer to join their team. The role will support the engineering team with 3D modelling, drawings, and documentation for bespoke, project-based work. You\’ll be using SolidWorks day-to-day to create full design-for-manufacture (DFM) drawings, general arrangements, and BOMs. You\’ll also liaise with project managers, sales engineers, and operations to ensure jobs run smoothly. The business is offering £35,000 – £40,000 DOE: * Mon–Thurs 8:30–5, Friday early finish (1:30pm) * Solid, well-structured engineering team with experienced leadership * Hybrid working potential after probation * 25 days holiday + bank holidays * Company pension Duties of the Design Engineer: * Produce 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks * Create general arrangement and fabrication drawings * Carry out basic stress checks using Simulation Express * Use Navisworks to review BIM models * Source and specify bought-out components * Generate and manage BOMs * Support project delivery and cross-functional team communication Experience required of the Design Engineer: * 3+ years in a fabrication or manufacturing environment * Confident in SolidWorks and ideally familiar with PDM Vault * Able to create full DFM drawings and BOMs * Comfortable working alongside project and production teams * Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar (preferred) This vacancy is being managed by Paul Smith at White Label.
