We are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our client on a part-time basis in Bedford. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of their monthly payroll. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who values flexibility, and has a strong understanding of payroll processes and compliance. This is initially a temporary role for around 3 months, however this may be exteneded. This role will ideally be starting next week, week commencing 28th July – however latest start date would be 4th August. Please only apply if you are able to start on or before this period They are looking for someone to work between 10 to 20 hours per week – start and finish time each day can be agreed. Key Responsibilities: * Process monthly payroll for 150+ employees, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines * Maintain and update payroll records, including new hires, leavers, and changes in pay or benefits * Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and all relevant employment laws * Handle employee queries related to payroll, PAYE, pensions, and statutory payments (SMP, SSP, etc.) * Generate and distribute payslips and P60s * Liaise with finance and HR teams as required Requirements: * Minimum 2 years’ experience in a payroll position processing payroll for at least 150 employees * Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and best practices in the UK * Proficient with payroll software * High level of accuracy and attention to detail Desirable: * Experience with auto-enrolment pensions * Familiarity with software such as Sage, Xero Payroll, or similar Apply today for a swift repsonse
