SEND Teaching Assistant

Sheffield Full-Time No home office possible

Contract type: Temp – perm following 12 weeks successful temporary placement

Working hours: Monday – Friday, term time only, 8am to 4pm

Unique School Solutions is supporting a school in the S2 area of Sheffield that is seeking Teaching Assistants to work across the school, supporting vulnerable/disengaged students and those with Behavioural, Emotional, and Social Difficulties. The role involves working alongside other Teaching Assistants within the classroom under the teacher\’s guidance. The position starts in September 2025, with the potential for permanent employment after 12 weeks.

Essential requirements for the role:

Experience working in a Pupil Referral Unit, Young Offenders Institution, or alternative provision (preferred)
Ability to build rapport with young learners
Ability to work under the direction of the class teacher and use own initiative
