Claims Handler Ipswich, Hybrid (after probation period) £26,000- £32,000pa   Pure are looking for a dedicated Claims Handler to join our clients compact but established team working for a leading national insurance company. In this vital role, you’ll be the first point of contact for their customers, providing support, guidance, and efficient claims processing that reflects their commitment to exceptional service. Property Liability experience would be desirable but we would be happy to look at candidates with a varied insurance backgrounds from motor claims, underwriters and loss adjusters.   Key Responsibilities: To manage and process claims exceeding the delegated authority limit of £50,000, ensuring appropriate investigation and settlement in line with company standards. To oversee and monitor claims handled by third-party administrators, who manage first notification of loss (FNOL) and claims within their delegated authority (up to £50,000), ensuring performance meets agreed time and quality benchmarks. To monitor the proper recording of all claims. Appoint and liaise with loss adjusters, investigators, and other professionals; follow up on reports and outcomes. Ensure recording of claim entries into the system and the resolution of accounts queries. Prepare and send large claim advice for information to reinsurers and other offices. Monitoring the status of outstanding claims and their incurred movements. Assisting the team with handling & resolution of complaints. Assist in Claims review on periodic basis. Assist Claims Manager with any other claim related tasks. Reviewing Householders and Commercial claims underwritten by their MGAs.    Key Skills: 2 years’ experience of property claims handling- commercial or personal property- desirable Technical insurance knowledge Organisational ability IT, including spreadsheet skills. Communication skills. Analytical ability. Liaison with colleagues to maximise input and contribution
