Job Description Mechanical Fitters (MoD) Manchester Your new company Your new company is a global Engineering Business within the Ministry of Defence Manufacturing Sector. They are a world-renowned leader in their manufacturing processes and a key partner to numerous blue-chip organisations. They are known for their commitment to quality and innovation within engineering and have numerous sites & offices across the globe. Due to an increase in their order books, they are looking to build up the team with Mechanical Fitters as they continue to win work and expand their operations. Your new role Within your new role you will be working in a state-of-the-art facility as part of a dedicated team to manufacture equipment for the defence industry. This is an opportunity to join a world-class organisation, delivering a secured long-term contract to the MOD. Operators will be required to mechanically fit components adhering to engineering drawings and work instructions. Training will be provided. What you\’ll need to succeed In order to succeed in this position, it is essential you have: – A Time Served apprenticeship and/or the equivalent qualifications – Competency in a mechanical fitting environment (automotive/HGV experience advantageous) – The ability to work a variety of tools and engineering equipment – To be able to work as part of a team What you\’ll get in return In return, you will receive a competitive salary of up to £35-40k (DOE), a competitive pension scheme and many other company-specific benefits, such as paid memberships, and the chance to learn and develop your skills further.
