YOUR IMPACT
A Legal Entity Controller in the Financial Reporting department will oversee several legal entities, managing responsibilities from journal entries to the preparation of annual financial statements.
Responsibilities
- Preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts and quarterly reporting to the US under US GAAP.
- Preparation, review, and analysis of reporting to the Federal Reserve Board.
- Preparation and review of financial statements under UK GAAP, including liaising with auditors.
- Preparation of board reports.
- Preparation and explanation of monthly P&L estimates to the trading desk and coordination with Product Control.
- Coordination with US and UK tax teams on tax issues, VAT returns, and submission of tax returns.
- Understanding the business and communicating developments effectively to team members.
- Identifying improvements to manual processes and management reporting for higher value work.
- Participation in department-wide and cross-departmental projects and initiatives.
Skills and Experience
- Qualified accountant β ACA (up to 2-4 years PQE).
- Accounting knowledge from audit or accounting roles.
- Experience with audited financial statements under UK GAAP or IFRS is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and attention to detail skills.
- Excellent communication skills, especially for third-party reporting.
- Ability to work in a driven team environment and under pressure.
- Proficient in Word and Excel.
- European language skills are a plus.
