Overview

Are you a Psychology or Counselling graduate looking to make a real difference in children\\\’s lives? We\\\’re recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to join our partnered multi-site school in Fishponds. The school supports children with a range of needs including PMLD, SLD, Autism, and Complex Needs. Affinity Workforce partners with five specialist settings across Barton Hill and Fishponds (Infants, Juniors, Secondary, Sixth Form, and a Behavioural setting). You\\\’ll work in 1:1, 2:1, or small group settings, providing essential care and learning support during a crucial stage of each child\\\’s development.

As part of Affinity Workforce, you may work across multiple settings as part of our network.

About the Role

Whether you\\\’re an experienced TA or a psychology graduate eager to learn, this role offers a chance to grow your skills and make a lasting impact. You\\\’ll help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment tailored to each pupil\\\’s needs. Most support will be 1:1, with opportunities for group work to encourage social learning and peer relationships.

We\\\’re Looking For Someone Who

  • Has experience in SEN or with individuals with Autism (desirable)
  • Is resilient, confident, and calm under pressure
  • Can build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Has excellent behaviour management and communication skills
  • Is eager to learn and grow in the SEN field
  • Is proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic
  • Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
