Engineer – Power & Environment
Arqiva is recruiting a Power Systems Technician based in and around Emley Moor, Huddersfield. The role involves mechanical & electrical servicing, repairs, maintenance, supervision and installation with minimal supervision.
Location – Emley Moor, Huddersfield with travel required to sites.

Must haves
- Driving licence (full UK)
- City & Guilds 2382 – 18th Edition Regulations or 17th Edition
- Previous experience in Field Services or completion of an approved electrical apprenticeship in a similar environment.
- Working knowledge of the principles of power supplies, HVAC Systems, ACBs, Generator Systems, Static UPSs, Static Switches.
- Working knowledge of and ability to apply Safety, Health and Environment legislation, policies and procedures.
- Willing to travel.
- Some overnight stays away from home location may be required.
Role
- Complete planned works and maintenance on a range of systems and networks.
- Respond to faults and service outages and complete corrective maintenance in line with Arqiva standards, policies and procedures.
- Support upgrades and modifications to existing systems and networks following agreed instructions. Maintain accurate records, documentation and reporting of actions taken.
- Complete testing and measurements to ensure compliance with regulatory, industry and customer requirements.
- Engage with customers and build positive working relationships.
- Actively participate in 24/7 365 callout response as per the scheduled rota.
- Ensure that equipment operates to specified performance criteria and is maintained to conform to agreed company standards.
- Work in a safe manner at all times, complying with current Health & Safety legislation and Arqiva SHEQ policy.
