Glasgow Life is looking for a PMO & Governance Manager to join us on a 35 full time, fixed term contract until 31st March 2028. As PMO & Governance Manager you will be joining our in-demand Glasgow Sport service, focusing on the implementation, procurement and fit out process and launch of Baillieston Community Hub.

The role
As PMO & Governance Manager, you will be an integral part of the Glasgow Life team by leading and manage the project programme, manage assigned project budgets via the scheme of delegation and resources for change control, reporting consistently against targets and risks to the organisation. You will lead and oversee specific procurement requirements for the fitout of the Community Hub as per the design specification and functional area/ service delivery needs. As key aspect of the role is to collaboration with multiple Glasgow Life services, Libraries & Communities, Sport, Arts and Music, Special Projects, to ensure a fully integrated project plan is established to deliver the agreed outcomes for Glasgow Life, Glasgow City Council, partners and stakeholders.
Reporting to our Commercial and Service Development Manager and collaborating with an established team.
The candidate
If you’re interested in joining us as a PMO & Governance Manager, you’ll need:
• Experience of successful capital project delivery within a multi-service and/or venue.
• Proven project management experience – able to initiate and lead the overall development and ongoing delivery of the Project.
• Experience with project governance methodologies and their application in a capital investment delivery environment including experience of using project governance and management tools and software.
• Experience of contract tendering and procurement experience.

We offer hybrid working for some roles, with teams working between the office and home. Your line manager will agree these days with you, if suitable. This balance enables you to continue much-needed collaborative working.
Our office bases at Commonwealth House in Glasgow City Centre and Emirates Arena in the east end of Glasgow both offer great links to public transport and Emirates Arena provides free parking.
This role is working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with the requirement to work at times in evenings and weekends to meet our charity’s needs.
For Fixed Term Roles – If offer is made to internal employee (Glasgow Life or Council Family), at the end of the temporary period, eligible employees, if agreed will have a right to return to a role at their substantive grade within the council family.
