Are you a Social Worker with at least 3 years post qualifying experience and want to be a Senior Practitioner in the Fostering Service?
We have a fantastic full-time fixed term role available in Lancashire County Council\’s Fostering Service that might be perfect for you:
1. Senior Practitioner (Grade 9) – Fixed Term 01/09/2025 to 01/06/2026 (9 months) Position – Full Time (Mainstream Assessment Team)
As a Senior Practitioner in mainstream assessment, you will conduct assessment visits; complete full fostering assessments; and facilitate face to face fostering training to families and children, information evenings, and community marketing events.
Our mainstream assessment team is dedicated to recruiting and assessing mainstream families who wish to foster children in our care. We also oversee the assessment and supervision of private fostering families in Lancashire. While our base is County Hall, Preston, most of our work is done remotely. Successful candidates must be able to travel throughout Lancashire, so a driving licence and access to a car are essential.
Due to the geographical scope of the role, a full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle are essential requirements
