As a Engineering Team Lead (electrical bias) for a leading food manufacturer, you will be responsible for managing engineers, leading projects and providing PPM and OEE support company\’s Trafford Park manufacturing site.
Our client is an established manufacturer of authentic global foods to hospitality and the retail, food service and wholesale sectors.
This challenging role requires a time served/apprentice trained engineer with previous experience in a fast-paced environment. The business has multiple CapEX projects planned; so previous experience of leading projects is essential. The site is AA BRC rated; therefor candidate must have experience of working within a highly regulated/audited site.
Your responsibilities as Lead Electrical Engineer will include:
Act as the Engineering Shift Team CMMS Supervisor; support system implementation and control across phases, and train users to the correct standard.
Manage the engineering shift including 2 direct reports, to provide maximum availability of all production plant and support equipment.
Implement initiatives that drive out costs, improve OEE and waste reduction.
Ensure that the engineering team operates to maximise machine uptime, planned maintenance, health and safety, quality culture, hygiene, and budgetary requirements.
Your Profile:
Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship (Electrical or Multi skilled) – ONC or BTEC equivalent, HNC (desirable) with demonstrable electrical and mechanical maintenance skills
Proven leadership and team management expertise
Experience in managing contractors and issuing permit-to-work procedures
Proficiency in using maintenance management software (CMMS)
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
