Electrical Engineer / Chemical Manufacturing / West Midlands / £50k (DOE) An opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Engineer to join a well-established chemical manufacturing business based in the West Midlands. Specialising in complex chemicals for global pharmaceutical, agrochemical, and speciality chemical markets, the company offers a fast-paced, technically challenging environment with opportunities for growth and development. Role Overview: Reporting to the Electrical & Instrumentation Manager, you’ll take a hands-on lead in electrical maintenance and small project work, supporting a team of four and ensuring electrical systems run safely and efficiently across the site. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee maintenance and preventative maintenance activities, including inspections and system improvements. * Deliver small capital and upgrade projects, from design and specification to installation. (£1k – £5k). * Supervise internal electrical staff and manage external contractors. * Act as the site’s technical authority for all low voltage electrical matters. * Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and environmental standards. * Gain ATEX (CompEx) certification if not already held – training provided. Requirements: * Level 3 qualification in a practical electrical discipline (e.g., City & Guilds). * Minimum of 5 years\’ practical experience post-qualification with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role. * Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment – Food manufacturing, steel, mining, waste water, energy from waste, chemicals, energy etc. What’s on Offer: * £50k salary (DOE) * 25 days holiday + UK Bank Holidays * Monday to Friday, 8am–4:30pm (40 hours/week) * Paid sick scheme, life assurance, BHSF health scheme * Stakeholder pension scheme If you have UK experience and require sponsorship, please apply
