Technical Network has been retained by an leading consumer product manufacturer to source an experienced Manager to run their UKAS accredited test laboratory. Responsible for one of their key development areas this role provides a brilliant opportunity for a resilient and driven individual to make their mark on a growing UK business. Test Laboratory Manager Location: Staffordshire ( commutable from Lichfield, Tamworth, Leicester, Burton upon Trent, Nuneaton, Sutton Coldfield areas) £45,000 – £50,000 + Bonus + 33 Days Holiday + Pension Duties: Managing a small team of test technicians you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the company\’s UKAS accredited test laboratory. Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and product standards. Updating & maintaining ISO 17025 accreditation, test protocols, process controls and documentation. Maintenance of test standards, equipment calibration and maintenance. Liaison with third party accreditation bodies and test facilities. Experience: This role would therefore suit an individual with a background managing a UKAS accredited laboratory, who is looking for a new challenge and the chance to play a key role at an industry leading company. o Experienced of working in a product test or calibration department o Thorough knowledge of ISO17025 standards, UKAS accredited laboratories or BSI Kite Mark o Supervisory experience managing a technical / test or calibration team o Competent in auditing, maintaining & updating process controls & instructions The opportunity: This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Test & Development Supervisor, R&D Manager or Laboratory Manager with leadership experience to be part of the product development & conformance team within an expanding organisation with continued investment strategy from the group.
