Internal Sales Estimator Location: Telford Working Hours: Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–4:45pm | Friday: 8:00am–2:30pm Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 per annum (DOE) Holiday: 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays The Role An established and growing engineering company based in Telford is seeking an experienced Internal Sales Estimator to join their team. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong engineering background, particularly in fabrication or manufacturing, who is confident interpreting technical drawings and working within a sales or estimating environment. Key Responsibilities * Interpret customer drawings, specifications, and CAD models to prepare accurate cost estimates * Produce detailed and competitive quotations for sheet metal and fabricated components * Collaborate with production teams to ensure estimates align with manufacturing capabilities * Communicate with customers to clarify requirements and provide technical support * Use CAD software to assist with estimating and project planning * Follow up on quotes and help convert them into confirmed orders * Support internal teams with technical and estimation queries Requirements * Proven experience in a similar engineering or manufacturing role (sheet metal experience advantageous) * Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings * Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) * Previous experience in a sales or estimating environment * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * High level of accuracy and attention to detail * Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines Benefits * Competitive salary between £28,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience) * 25 days holiday plus all Bank Holidays * Early finish every Friday * Supportive team environment * Opportunities for career growth and development
