Mac Operator / Artworker – Southend-on-Sea, Essex Job Type: Full-time Location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours per week) Salary : Β£25,396.80 – Β£26,000 An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mac Operator/Artworker to join a fast-growing, award-winning printing company based in Southend-on-Sea. This is a proofing-focused role, ideal for someone with strong technical artwork skills rather than a creative design background. The successful candidate will play a vital part in preparing and processing customer artwork, ensuring it\’s ready for print production while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and efficiency. Mac Operator/Artworker Key Responsibilities * Prepare customer artwork to print-ready standards. * Send proofs to customers for review and approval. * Use internal admin software to book approved jobs into the workflow. * Preflight print files using Adobe Acrobat and Enfocus Pitstop. Mac Operator/Artworker Skills Required: * Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and InDesign. * Knowledge of spot colours, overprint settings, and standard paper sizes is highly desirable. * Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to proofing and prepress tasks. * Prior experience in a print production or similar prepress environment. Please note: This is a technical/proofing role – not a creative designer position.
