Legal Claims Handler – Hertford Salary: £26,000 – £28,000 per annum Contract: Full-time / Permanent Our client, a leading law firm specialising in debt recovery and litigation, is looking for a motivated Legal Claims Handler to join their growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a Law degree who may have little direct legal work experience but has a genuine interest in litigation. Candidates with experience in related sectors such as debt collection, credit control, or bulk claims handling are strongly encouraged to apply. What you’ll do: * Manage the full claims handling process, including correspondence with courts, defendants, and High Court enforcement officers. * Draft client care letters, agreements, and legal notices accurately and professionally. * Prepare and submit Part 7 claims and court applications. * Enforce judgments, including charging orders and Orders for Sale. * Handle a high-volume caseload while ensuring deadlines and compliance requirements are met. What you need: * A Law degree (essential) – no direct legal experience required. * Interest in litigation and eagerness to develop legal expertise. * Experience in related fields such as debt collection, credit control, or bulk claims handling is advantageous. * Strong analytical and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail. * Clear and confident communication skills with good organisational ability.
