Are you a QHSE Manager or Safety Advisor with a track record on civil engineering & infrastructure projects in the UK. If you have experience of leading people and acting as the no1 we want you to read on………. The Project * Based near LUTON – Bedfordshire * Construction value of £35-40 Million * Project awarded and on site from October so looking for a hire asap * Critical path consists of 10,000 tonnes of asphalt to be laid in repair & resurfacing works on major runways & external pavements works. Utility diversions, * Due to the nature of work the activities taking part between 10pm to 7am * Workers on site to peak at 220 on site * Due to the nature of work a vast amount of planning, coordination and communication is required * If key objectives aren’t achieved then the LD’s in this world are brutal hence the importance of teamwork, high organisation and clear communication & instructions Do you have the people skills & EI to convey the message both upstream and down ? Role * Safety presentations * Leading health and safety processes including: Hazard Analysis, Standard Operating Procedures, Training, Contractor Health and Safety Requirements and accident and Incident Investigation * Providing routine inspections & Toolbox talks & inductions * Formulating site HSSE strategies & Pushing Safety standards & best practice first time * Someone with a proactive, can do attitude that can build teams, client face and sustain long term relationships * Prepared to roll the sleeves up and set the standards from the front * Open to travel and working away during the week as its the culture of the business and how they build. They are very much client led opposed to geographically focused like Regional Contractors There is a can do team ethos and Safety forms a critical aspect of the business. The Future After this fast paced project in Luton handling nights you will be transferred to a major project in Lincolnshire This next project will be days not nights due to the environment & client Same benefits will apply as Luton Do you match the following * Relevant qualifications in health & safety- degree, diploma, HNC/ HND * NEBOSH * Career history of working for Main Contractors or Sub-contractors looking after worker welfare and safety on a construction site * Experience of Civil Engineering Works -Excavation, groundworks, piling , enabling works and structures desired * Hold a Permanent employment history , prepared to dig in and work hard when needed as we all know there are challenging days in this industry * Will you pass a security check for working on Major UK domestic & international airports ?
