Job Title: Senior Site Manager – Facades & Cladding Location: Manchester Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum (depending on experience) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Company Overview: We are a leading specialist contractor in the façade and external envelope sector, delivering innovative cladding, re-cladding, and façade solutions across the UK. With a strong pipeline of secured projects in Manchester and the North West, we are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to oversee delivery of complex façade and re-cladding schemes from inception to completion. Role Summary: The Senior Site Manager will be responsible for managing all site-based activities on high-value cladding and façade refurbishment or new-build projects. You will lead site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to deliver works safely, on time, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance — particularly in line with new fire safety and building regulations. Key Responsibilities: * Manage the day-to-day running of façade, cladding, and re-cladding projects on site. * Ensure health & safety, quality, and environmental standards are met in line with company and statutory requirements. * Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and logistics. * Monitor project progress against programme and take corrective action as needed. * Liaise with clients, consultants, local authorities, and internal teams. * Oversee installation of rainscreen cladding, insulation, and fire barrier systems. * Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety briefings regularly. * Maintain accurate records including site diaries, progress reports, and RAMS. * Drive a safety-first culture and ensure full compliance with building safety regulations (e.g. PAS 9980, BS 8414, and the Building Safety Act). * Support project handover, snagging, and final sign-off processes. Requirements: * Proven experience as a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager on façade or cladding projects. * Experience in re-cladding projects, particularly in occupied buildings or fire remediation schemes. * Strong understanding of external envelope systems, including rainscreen cladding, SFS, insulation, and firestopping. * Excellent leadership and communication skills. * SMSTS, CSCS Black or Gold Card (essential). * First Aid at Work certificate. * Sound knowledge of current building regulations and fire safety requirements. * Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders. * Full UK driving licence. Desirable: * NVQ Level 6 or 7 in Construction Management. * Temporary Works Coordinator or Appointed Person qualification. * Experience working under government-led remediation frameworks (e.g. BSF).
